About Andrew.
Andrew grew up in Carterton in the Wairarapa. Growing up in a rural environment gave Andrew plenty of opportunities to develop his practical skills from a young age.
After completing high school at Chanel College in 2018, Andrew joined Steinemann Construction straight out of school. He completed his BCITO carpentry apprenticeship and became a fully qualified builder in 2021.
Andrew’s apprenticeship was shared between Steinemann Construction and James Fish Builders. This arrangement allowed him to gain experience across a broad range of projects. His time with James Fish Builders focused on building his experience in standard residential construction.
During his time at Steinemann, Andrew gained experience across a range of high-performance, custom residential projects and renovations. This exposed him to sustainable building practices and European construction methods, which have since become areas of particular expertise.
This experience gave Andrew a strong foundation in both traditional carpentry and more specialised and modern approaches to residential construction.
In 2025, Andrew moved to Riwaka with his partner, Jade, and has since made the Tasman region home.
